"COMIENDO EN FAMILIA"
This was our first project. This project tells the story of the amazing Lilia. Lilia is a 70-year-old Colombian grandmother, nurse, gangster, and cook. Her culinary experience is purely empirical; during her years as a baby nurse Lilia spent an inordinate amount of time watching cooking shows. As she got inspired by shows, she would prepare delicious meals for the babies' families and her own. Years later, while she was working as a family chef, Lilia approached Cinnamon Press with a desire to publish her recipes. Up to that point, Lilia had gained a solid audience and since she had always been secretive about her recipes the book was a hit and sold out within a month of the launching date.
At Cinnamon Press we edited the content, styled the food, and produced the book.
Health enthusiast, Estefanía Alemán, commissioned Cinnamon Press to produce and publish her cookbook with recipes she had compiled over the years.
We cooked, styled, photographed, designed, and produced the final product.
"RUTA DE MANJARES"
"Ruta de Manjares" was a cookbook designed and directed by Cinnamon Press. Several Panamanian celebrity chefs were brought together by renowned Cuban-Panamanian Chef, Doña Bertha Peláez, to create a unique book that tells the story of Panamanian cuisine and culture throughout Panama´s 10 provinces.
The pictures were taken by Tito Herrera, and the food styling was done by the different chefs in collaboration with Cinnamon Press. The design, production and pre-press were also done by Cinnamon Press.
